Dubai from the Sky

Just before Christmas, the girls and I took a wee helicopter ride over Dubai to get a different perspective on the city.

One word:  WOW!!!!

There isn’t much more to say, except take a look at these pics:

Crazy roads – so you can see how we all manage to get lost so often!

Sheikh Zayed Road – the busiest road in the Emirates.

Stretch of the coast line, with the Burj Al Arab in the distance.

The Palm.

Burj Khalifa.

More coast line!

General view with a metro station and the Burj Khalifa in the background!

Our helicopter!

You are right Sydney! Probably just give it a couple more years and it would surely be the top tourist destination in the world! The architectural marvels they’ve been building are truly unique and kinda daring at the same time. I also stumbled upon this article recently also showing those architectural marvels from a different point of view, to be specific, from the sky. Check them out!

Any travel tips for us who hasn’t been to Dubai? Thanks 🙂

Having visited everywhere in the world, twice, I can assure everybody that Dubai is, or soon will be the most popular tourist destination on earth. I consider it to be Disneyland and Las Vegas all rolled into one. For anyone interested in architecture Dubai is fabulous and fantastic and cannot be challenged by any other place on earth. Sporting wise, horse racing, golf, tennis etc Dubai is number one. The people are friendly, there is no fear of crime and the beaches are tops. Believe me if you have never been to Dubai you have not travelled. Oh! accidentally the shopping and shopping centres have to be seen to be believed.
