I can’t believe another week has gone by so quickly. I didn’t think it would really. I imagined it would drag by and be hugely painful. I’m lucky I guess that isn’t the case. I think my medication helps that but also because this week I decided to be more productive.

Windsor Castle
What can I say? One of the most beautiful and impressive places I have ever seen. Also one of the most frustrating!! Why? Let me tell you…
Windsor Great Park
NB: Not Great Windsor Park!! I’ve got this now! There are very few ways you can get me up before 8am and out for a walk. In fact, this may be the only time it has ever happened. I got up super early on my last trip to Bermuda to watch the sun rise, but…
Views from a Window
I have always said that one of the best things about being an expat is the people you meet. You have the opportunity to make life long friendships with people whose path you are highly unlikely to have passed had you stayed at home. One of those people is my friend, Justine. She recently moved…
National Day Celebrations
Although I was away for the actual day of UAE National Day, I was lucky enough to witness some of the celebrations! Emeratis, in my experience, are good people and National Day shines a light on that. I love how much national pride, inclusiveness (is that an actual word?!) and kindness come bursting out of…
A Quickie from the air

The Great Windsor Walk
One of the fabulous things about being an expat is that you get to meet a bunch of awesome people that you wouldn’t have if you had stayed in your home town. Not only that, you tend to find serial expats are fairly like-minded and have a great sense of adventure. One such person is…
Cove Beach Dubai
Another day, another beach! It really is such a hard life some days! This time it was a beach club we opted for after a recommendation by a coworker. I have mixed feelings about beach clubs but figured that it couldn’t be too bad as it was a week day.
La Mer
I love the beach. Huge fan. It’s one of the things I miss most about Bermuda is having really accessible beaches that are nice and close. However, I have moved on a little since those days and really love myself a nice sun lounger to tan in comfort. There are lots of nice beaches down…
